L'autre Royaume 2/The other kingdom 2
FR : Et pendant ce temps, mon projet perso avance. Ca sera le premier tome d'une série de (sorte de) romans, très abondamment illustrés.
J'y travaille depuis 10 ans...
Voici donc quelques illustrations qui en ont été extraites et exposées lors du 4è festival Empreintes d'Artistes à Gouarec. Sur des photos de Annaëlle Diridollou
De nombreuses autres illustrations et croquis préparatoires de ce projet ont été présenté sous forme d'une grande vidéo lors d'un concert d'impro réunissant Estelle Walter (alto), Christophe Rocher (clarinette), Nicolas Pointard (percussions), Adeline Rognan (violoncelle) et Guillaume Kermana'ch (clarinette) et le danseur hip hop Bboy Mtin's. Soirée qui a d'ailleurs été un gros succès tel que je n'en avais jamais connu... En tant que dessinateur, on a rarement des standing ovations, des applaudissements, etc. Ca faisait plaisir d'être partie intégrante de ce concert. Je m'en souviendrai très longtemps.
A bientôt pour la sortie du bouquin ou de nouveaux spectacles qui en seront inspirés :)
UK : While I'm working for my publishers, my personal project is still in progress. It will be the first opus for a series of novels (kind of), with a lot of illustrations. I have been working on it for ten years...
So, these are a few illustrations taken from this project. They were shown during an exhibition at the 4th Art festival "Empreintes d'artistes" in Gouarec. Based on photographies taken by Annaëlle Diridollou.
Many other illustrations and sketches for this project were shown in a big video, during a improvisation concert with Estelle (alto), Christophe Rocher (clarinet), Nicolas pointard (drums), Adeline Rognant (cello) and Guillaume Kermana'ch (clarinet) and the hip hop dancer Bboy Mtin's. The concert was a huge success, I had never known something like that before. As an illustrator, I don't have standing ovations and applause all the time... It was a pleasure to be part of that. I will remember this moment for a very long time.
